PATRON: Gaddi Nasheen Khadim Syed Sarwar Chishty, M.A.(English Literature).

Janab Gaddi Nasheen Khadim Syed Sarwar Chishty is the son of Syed Ghulam Dastageer Chishty and is the Gaddi Nasheen Hereditary Khadim (Custodian/Stand-By of the Seat of the Saint/Servant/Helper/Emissary) at the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty (R.A.), and is former Secretary of Anjuman Syedzadgan Dargah Sharif Ajmer for six years till 2006, an elected and registered body of Hereditary Khadims of the Holy Shrine. Born on the 9th of October, 1960, in the family of Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) and being custodians of his Shrine for 800 years, the Khadims have a vision and message of universal brotherhood, communal harmony and spiritual bliss. The Saint, who settled here to spread the Light to India, is known, even after his departure, as the Sultan of India, his Shrine being visited by aspiring statesmen, opinion-leaders and politicians in addition to dignitaries of all walks of life, seeking blessings for success in their efforts. The Holy Shrine is a continuing center of pilgrimage in India with great multitudes of all religions thronging the Annual Urs (birthday) celebrations of the saint known all over the world as "The Friend of the Poor" or Gharib Nawaz in his times, as he is even today, for the Langar/Free Kitchen open at all times for the past 800 years to feed the poor, the pilgrim, the devotee, and the Wayfarer. That Langar continues with the Big cauldron having been manufactured and donated by the Mogul King Akber the Great, the largest food cauldron in the world, in regular use for over 400 years-half the age of the Free Kitchen.
